Matt Kerley raised on the outskirts of
London
. He always had a love for music and the
sounds of house.
Fast forward to a new decade
and he is a successful, pioneering promoter and DJ in
the South West of England best known for curating the now infamous
‘Devon Sessions’
events and
producing quality house music.
Matt's rise in popularity kicked off in 1999 running
Tecside Records
,
selling fresh white label vinyl to
the masses whilst holding down a fortnightly residency at
The Arch
, Brighton, and guesting at the
likes of the legendary
Velvet Rooms
, London and the
Legend Nights
in North Devon.
Tragedy struck in 2003 Matt was hit by a
car which left him with loss of hearing and tinnitus in his
left ear, DJing was put on hold as the risk to extra hearing loss was a reality. But you can’t keep a
good man down and with advances in new technology hearing protection, Matt was able to reignite
his love for House Music and in 2010 the 1210s were once again spinning.
Since 2018 Matt has grown his
Devon Sessions
into one of the UK’s most successful dance events.
He
is guesting at
Clockwork Orange
,
Ministry of Sound
and other nights on a regular
basis. He has also
been back in the studio producing a string of successful underground house and tech house singles
and releasing on label like
Somn’thing Records, SuperTech, Altra Moda
Music
, Freakin’ 909
and
more. His first track ‘Society’ entered
Traxsource Top 100 House music chart and has since gained
over
150k streams!
2020 is Looking
BIG
for Matt!
He has two tracks in collaboration with
Liquid Todd
from Americas
SiriusXM
both being released on different
labels.
Matt has
been busy in the studio
with new music coming throughout the
year.
Event wise he is now in collaboration with Clockwork Orange and will be running the
Southwest’s biggest House music event at Powederham Castle in August which will be hosted by his
